Localised transport sorted for Clare too

Clare got a bike for her birthday.  I think it could be racking up some miles soon!

Ready for any cold weather!

So the kids are prepared for our venture for when life gets cold and snowy when we aim to be travelling through the Alps and into Italy come December.   Would've been daft to avoid the muddy puddles sale!

Further details of confirmation!

The children are officially off the school roll for September.  We are all legally correct so that we don't get the children on the' at risk' register and save being pursued by Interpol whilst on our merry venture.

Next stop. .. Buy a van! !!!!!!!

Free to travel!

The passports have arrived! 2 days after a ridiculous interview to confirm we are who we are, we now have the passports! We are now free to roam! So another piece of the jigsaw is in place. One less thing to worry about. Also, for our initial Easter France trip, the van has passed its MOT and has been fully serviced!

Cat out of the bag

So it is getting much more official now. People at school are beginning to be drip fed bits of information. So whilst people get to grips with what we intend, it feels good to have begun to get the story out there. The people that we have told seem very happy for us and are very genuinely excited.

In other news, the new gps wifi camera has arrived, the kindle has arrived... We now just await the arrival of a secret hard drive full of lots of kindle material.

Sold!

One car sold today. The civic sold to some lovely people from Torquay. 

They got what they wanted, and we got what we wanted. So the coffers have been swollen and all is good. So now it's using the van to get to work now and hopefully do some cycling too. Let the floods subside first. 

Anyway, plans are working. Passport interviews next in February half term next! So time to brush up on kiddies birthdays, wedding date, NI number!

The plot thickens.....

Having resigned, having told people that we are leaving teaching, the bridge burning process seems fully in flow. The amusing thing is that parents and staff are a little perplexed as to what we are doing!?!?

Some think we are emigrating, Clare is taking the Deputy headship at the school, and the rumours just go round. It is amusing, but also a little frustrating as many are guessing our news before we have the chance to explain on our terms. It seems that there maybe a leakage of news!

Shame really, it's our excitement and we want to explain it on our own terms.

Nevermind, onwards! No buyers yet for my car, and we need to seriously get onto looking at big vans. 10% of the mortgage paid in a lump sum, so that helps!
